Every architect works according to a plan and is faithful to the plan, faithful to the blueprint. In the vision that God entrusted to Professor Zach Fomum and those He called with him, and to those who will be co-opted, there is a plan in the mind of God . Solomon put it clearly in describing his role as an executor, and his father David as a conceiver. He termed himself the hand of God and he termed his father the mouth of God. What God speaks through some, God accomplishes through others (2 Chronicles 6:4). Then he said: ‘Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, who with his hands has fulfilled what he promised with his mouth to my father David….’ We present in this book the vision of our work to all whom God has called along with us to execute the vision which He entrusted to His servant, Brother Zach, and which was faithfully shared with his co-workers.
Leading a Local Church
This book “Leading a Local Church” is a compilation of the teaching of Professor Zacharias Tanee Fomum addressed to the saints in Yaoundé, Cameroon during a leadership training course. The book presents what it takes to lead a local church and what leadership is. The author explains the critical place of having a goal geared towards the saving of the lost in the building of a local church. The method for the accomplishment of the goal is the making of disciples. When a shepherd leaves the flock just for a day in pursuit of gain, he has put a knife into his heart and things will never be the same afterwards. A shepherd who loves the world has lost God, has lost the vision and has betrayed the sheep. According to the author the spiritual gift of leadership is the unusual ability to produce other leaders. The leader is the one who takes risks and break new grounds. Leadership is a call to provide a model.
