Cover for The Art of Intercession

“The people of the land practice extortion and commit robbery; they oppress the poor and ill-treat the alien, denying them justice. I looked for man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so that I would not destroy it, but I found none.” Ezekiel 22: 29-30. An intercessor is a person (or group of people) who takes on himself someone else’s sin, who fully identifies with the sin and with the sinner and began to work with God until the guilty party is forgiven. They are needed because they stand in the gap between God and man, pushing God to bless the man or to inflict him the deserved punishment. Although intercessors are im- portant, the tragedy is that there is a shortage of intercessors, God himself complained of their scarcity. The judgment of God has come and is about to come into the world, not only because the world has sinned, but because there is a shortage of intercessors. Does it ring a bell? God has not changed. What he did in the past, he will do today. The sinful condition of man has not changed. His judgment will come. It is imminent. When it will come, it will be devastating. Does this matter to you that multitudes are going to perish soon? If this worries you, are you going to do something about it?

Cover for The Way of Victorious Praying

This book is both a theoretical and a practical manual. It is the work of a man of prayer who is concerned with communicating the deep secrets of victorious praying to believers in local churches, to make them work victoriously. Prayer, for Z.T. Fomum , is born when the will of the believer is united with the will of God. It requires that men be fully consecrated to the Lord. Prayer is real and fierce conflict. It requires persistence and must be governed by a burden. It must include praise, thanksgiving and supplication. Supplication is defined as an intense cry from the heart, a desperate prayer. It goes with fasting and the author describes fasting as the extreme resort of man to God, wishing to bring God to act in a supernatural way. You will find in this book the prayer topics to be raised to God for spiritual leaders, assemblies already established, churches in the process of being planted, teachings meetings, evangelistic campaigns, etc ... It’s a book for the body of Christ. It's a guide and a prayer manual to be used daily.

Cover for The Ministry of Fasting

At Last! The How and Why of Biblical Fasting! Fasting has long been a powerful discipline for serious prayer warriors. Yet few Christian books on both the theology and practice of fasting exist. And then some who have written have not always been faithful practitioners. "Few have experienced extended fasts several times a year of from 48 hours per week and from 21 to 40 days' duration with such results as Dr. Fomum and believers in some of the churches in Cameroon" , writes Dr. Lester Sumrall in his foreward. Dr. Fomum explores the aspects of fasting, interference of spirits, and the different (Biblical) reasons to fast: for deliverance, ministering unto the Lord, mourning, etc. He helps one with preparations for fasting, how to intercede while fasting, how to break a fast, what to do after a fast, and how to maintain the results of a fast. "The earnest intercessor and serious spiritual warrior will want to read this book" , concludes Dr. Sumrall . In fact, even if you fear fasting this book will help get you started on this vital discipline.

Cover for Moving God Through Prayer

The Dynamics of «Thy Will be Done» If you have progressed in the “school of calloused knees” from preoccupation in prayer for personal needs to interceding for the needs of others, you are ready to graduate into the mature believer’s prayer priority – that God’s needs be met. Yes, “God’s need” or concerns. Dr. Fomum devotes this volume to enlarging and deepening (or is it heightening?) the prayer warrior’s target. “Every true prayer ought to begin in the heart of God” , writes the author. This volume in the Prayer Power Series seeks to advance the intercessor closer to the springs of true prayer: seeking to know God’s will and then interceding for it to be done for His name and His kingdom’s sake. In his usual systematic style, drawing on the scriptures and lessons learned from practice, Professor Fomum explores the dynamics of the priorities set out in the Lord’s prayer: God’s name, God’s kingdom, God’s will . Are you ready to move on and up in your prayer and intercessory ministry? Are you equipped to lead your prayer group to greater heights? This book will meet your needs and help you help God meet His.

Cover for The Ministry of Supplication

The Art of Asking God asks us to ask him. “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face...” Supplication is asking, entreating with humility and earnestness. God honours such prayer. Hannah’s supplication is a classic biblical model. In this volume, Prof. Zacharias FOMUM, himself a longtime student and teacher in the school of prayer take us to the next level from prayer and intercession. Using the example of Hannah’s supplication for a child, Prof FOMUM sets forth the spiritual science for supplication in terms that are easy to grasp. Hannah’s story of God answering her supplication with her giving birth to the prophet Samuel is used to illustrate the supplicant as she progresses from reacting to human provocation to seeking the greater goal of God’s eternal purposes. A short, simple bible story is mined for rich lessons on supplication. Study this book and learn how God can be moved to act mightily to supply the needs of a supplicating person or supplicating people.

Cover for Practical Spiritual Warfare Through Prayer

In this handbook, Professor Fomum demonstrates, in very powerful terms, the determinant role of prayer in spiritual warfare. The burden he is labouring to discharge is to bring every believer to develop an ever-increasing life of prayer , with the aim of destroying the devil’s plans and purposes. Throughout his message, it emerges that to wage spiritual warfare, you must: Identify your enemy; Build a hedge of protection around you and around everything that belongs to you. That should be in addition to the hedge already built by God. For more range in combat, you've got to draft in a great number of people of quality; You and them have got to be united for the same purpose; Do not omit the role of angels in combat . Finally, know that whoever engages in combat must persevere until the end. Don't ever give up till victory. This book is a very practical and precious work meant to lead you to realise, as a believer, that you must pray or perish. Read it now and act!

Cover for Waiting On The Lord In Prayer

The Missing Second Dimension of Prayer When was the last time you heard from God? In fact, have you ever had God speak to you? Maybe the question should be: Have you ever waited on God in prayer? Prayer as dialogue may seem surprising to even some seasoned intercessors. This book explores that often missing dimension in the prayer life. Professor Fomum teaches first from the Scriptures how true prayer is a dialogue between God and man. All true communication is two-way, with feedback as the necessary confirmation that the message is being heard, understood and responded to. Otherwise we are engaging in monologues, however dramatic. The main reason we need to wait on the Lord in prayer is to seek to know what is on God’s heart. This volume advances from the previous one, Moving God Through Praye r which taught how we should pray according to God’s will. Now the process for finding out God’s will is delineated. Using a few key models, mostly from the Bible like Moses, Paul and the Lord Jesus himself, the author brings out the importance of waiting on the Lord for revelation and answers. If these heroes of the faith spent such a large proportion of their prayer life in waiting on and listening to God should not every one of us do likewise?

Cover for The Ministry Of Praise And Thanksgiving

How to " Halleluiah " in All Circumstances You may never have thought that praise and thanksgiving to God go together, that they constitute a ministry to the Lord, which he highly values. Professor Fomurn examines the Biblical basis for this and much more relating to praise and thanksgiving in this volume. From the obvious giving of thanks when things go well and praising the Lord in victory, the author goes on to teach on " costly " praise and thanksgiving, how to " halleluiah " even when it hurts, which is the best sacrifice to the Lord. This volume is packed with Biblical case studies, from a whole section on David to those on Job and the Lord Jesus. Several chapters are very practical: how to set up a daily calendar of praise and thanksgiving; recording the details of one's life for praise and thanksgiving; the power of cold routine! There is no need to be anxious anymore about the poverty of praise and thanksgiving in your prayer life. This volume is an answer to your prayers and for Philippians 4:6.

Cover for The Centrality Of Prayer

This book The Centrality of Prayer is a compilation of messages given in Yaoundé in August 2007 by Professor Fomum within the framework of the World University Prayer and Fasting to over 2000 brethren of our Work (CMFI) coming from Cameroon and many nations. This book which was written from notes taken as it was being preached without any editing from the author, expresses the burden which the Professor had to communicate to Christian workers the central place of prayer in any of God’s work. It treats amongst others topics: The veil which prevents the unbelievers from coming to the salvation of Jesus Christ. The veil which prevents them from seeing the need of prayer. The responsibility of the leader to tear this veil by fasting and prayer The responsibility of the body of Christ and the body of elders Prayer that originates from the heart of God. etc. These messages are not theological debates on these themes but are words from heart to hearts . Hence they are very practical , and treats subjects like handling of the prayer book, etc, In addition, the contributions from many field leaders make this book a real inner history of our work and enables us to experience the atmosphere that prevailed during the course. We strongly recommend this book to the body of Christ entirely for the problems treated in it are similar and the proposed solutions are useful to all. May the Lord bless you abundantly as you read this book.

Cover for Life-changing Thoughts On Prayer volume I

Prayer is central to any work and to any move of God. We have been burdened for very many years now about praying, and are labouring to pray ever increasingly. We have been burdened about the centrality of prayer and have laboured to lead individuals into seeing the necessity of prayer, and to actually pray. We have been burdened to lead churches into seeing the necessity of prayer and into praying. As I prayed alone, and as we travelled and taught about prayer, I took down key thoughts for myself that came through as I prayed alone, as I led others in prayer and as we taught on prayer. In this book we share with you some of the thoughts that have come to us as we taught and as we prayed. Our prayer is that by God’s grace you will find in this book some thoughts that will revolutionise and stir your heart to pray and pray and pray. May our God bless you exceedingly.

Cover for The Art of Worship

There is much noise today but few know anything about the manifest presence of God! It is as if we worship an absent Lord! Worship has to do with the relationship between God Almighty and the believer . Thus worship is very much a form of prayer. In every relationship, two parties are involved. In worship God acts and the believer responds. In Bible times, it was normal for the Almighty to reveal Himself to His own and in response to that revelation they fell down in worship. The need for restoration to Bible type worship is evident all over the body of Christ. It is with a heart cry that the believer would again live in the very immediate presence of God and worship Him from His immediate presence that this book is sent out.

Cover for Prayer And a Walk With God

As an apostle of prayer, Professor Fomum traveled widely among the nations teaching the church on prayer. This book is a compilation of the teachings he gave in India in 1999. It was born from a burden arising because of the lack of prayer among many leaders and believers. It was also orchestrated by the ignorance and helplessness of the Church in India as to the all-important issue of prayer. The church has the kind of leaders that its prayers have produced. When there's no abundant and abounding prayer, the church has leaders who love sin. It is therefore urgent that the church in the world and in the nations should act together with God through prayer. This book is a true heart cry to awaken and move men: believers, leaders, and churches to pray abundantly and intensively. Read it and surrender yourself to be moved to meet this need of God.

Cover for From His Prayer Life

This book will stir your heart to see the necessity, possibilities, power, purpose, reality, and weapon of prayer. Prayer was central in the life of our Lord on earth. Men equally should pray and make prayer central in all they do. They are to spend increasing time in prayer to know increasing freedom in their spirit and to know God more and more. It is at the place of prayer that men know God. The more a man prays, the more he will have God. Professor Fomum was a man of prayer and considered prayer to be the most important work that can be done for God and for man. He kept a record of his prayer requests and had over 50,000 recorded answers to prayer in his prayer books. From His Prayer Files will take you to the Zach Fomum Academy of Prayer through a verbatim report of what transpired during the various prayer session he led in the years 1990 and 1991. It captures the essence of prayer from an author who diligently practiced what he taught. Do you need personal revival in your prayer life? Cover for Learning to Importune in Prayer

The Holy art of importunate praying and intercession. The message in this book, Learning to Importune in Prayer was delivered to the saints by Dr. Z.T Fomum. We present it here entirely, with very little editing. It is an expression of the deep desire in the author’s heart to have spiritual leaders who know the Holy art of importunate praying and intercession. Importunity, says Prof. Fomum, is the cry of a man in extreme danger. It is madly asking God to open a door through the wall of a situation—until the door is opened. Importunity has God’s interest in view; it is taking no rest until God is moved to do that which He alone must do. He affirms that when God gives you a number of problems to which man has no answers, then He has promoted you—He has given you materials for importunity praying. God’s purposes in the New Covenant are tied to the Spirit-filled life. Christian service also starts with this quality of life. He reiterates his heart’s cry to see the leader strive to be Spirit-filled and press on to attain to the fullness of the Holy Spirit. We send out this book with prayer that the Lord would use it to produce men and women of importunate praying—watchmen at the gates of Jerusalem.
