The Adventure of the Norwood Builder is one of 56 Sherlock Holmes short stories written by Sir Conan Doyle, best known for his novel A Study in Scarlet. It is one of 13 stories in the cycle collected as The Return of Sherlock Holmes. The story was first published in the Collier's magazine on 31 october 1903 (US) and in The Strand Magazine in november 1903 (UK). This is the 29th Sherlock Holmes story.
In “The Adventure of Black Peter”, a ship captain is found dead, stabbed through with a harpoon. Police inspector Stanley Hopkins, who is being mentored by Sherlock Holmes brings the case to Holmes and Dr. Watson. An abusive man, the captain had many enemies, widening the suspect list. The investigation finds Holmes & company on a stakeout, on a case that involves a chance meetings on the high seas, and stolen securities.
A series of break-ins occur in London. All of them have one thing in common – a bust of Napoleon is smashed. Inspector Lestrade comes to a dead end, so he reaches out to Holmes. The next break-in takes place. This time with a murder as well. In the victim's pocket they find a picture of an unknown man. Holmes and Watson's starting point is then the factory where the busts were produced. The two detectives manage to find out where the last three busts are. Will they get in time to prevent the next crime? "The Adventure of the Six Napoleons" is a part of "The Return of Sherlock Holmes".
Professor Hilton was reviewing passage of Greek that was going to be translated during an examination. He left his study for a while and after he came back, he saw the keys to the study in the lock. Someone had apparently copied a part of the translation and there were some clear evidences. The professor turned to Holmes and asked for his help. Can some of the students that were about to take the examination have copied the text? Will Holmes solve the case before the exam the next day? The rugby player Staunton is missing. His friend, the rugby team coach, Cyril Overton, reaches out to Holmes and Watson begging them to take up the case. Holmes and Watson find out that the boy went out in a hurry the previous night together with an unknown man. The next step is to find out who this man was and what did he has to do with Staunton. Holmes and Watson will get to the bottom of it. What they will learn is however more than unexpected. "The Adventure of the Missing Three-Quarter" is a part of "The Return of Sherlock Holmes".

A woman reports that a gang of men broke into her home, killed her husband, tied her up, and stole the family silver. Though it seems like a clear-cut case of robbery gone wrong, Holmes's gut tells him otherwise. But what motive lies behind this erstwhile victim’s story?
Trelawney Hope, secretary for European Affairs, reaches out to Holmes. A very important letter was stolen from Hope's safe and he wants Holmes to track it down. The letter's content was of political importance and the three main suspects of Holmes are international secret agents. However one of them, Eduardo Lucas, was found murdered.
