These tales will make you smile with wonder, remind you of the importance of loyalty and love in life, and make you laugh your ass off. In addition, Reisig has taken these experiences, encounters, and adventures, and blended them into and around the highlights of his eight “Road To Key West” novels -- offering an introduction to each book. The novel you’re about to read is a work of fiction. But the premise of this story is true – it actually happened. If you enjoy tales of lost treasures, wild adventures, ancient civilizations, and governments that sometimes bury truths, you’re going to like this one. M.R. In one of the most incredible plots Michael Reisig has ever created, he blends modern history and an ancient Egyptian chronicle to forge a story that is based on actual, but nearly unbelievable facts. What if, at the turn of the 20th century, two intrepid explorers actually discovered the ruins of an ancient Egyptian city inside the towering walls of the Grand Canyon? What if those explorers were killed, their discovery hidden, and the artifacts they unearthed (along with the chronicles of one of the most remarkable sea-faring, and culture-founding accounts in history) were stolen, and hidden in the basement of one of America’s major historical institutions? If you’re looking for a white-knuckle adventure of courage, extraordinary friendships, and “complicated” love affairs, all woven around contemporary and ancient historical accounts, this is the book! So, put on your boots, buckle up, and follow Kansas Stamps and Will Bell into the adventure of a lifetime, or two.
Kansas Stamps and Will Bell are back in an absolutely roaring Caribbean adventure that may be the most unique of Reisig’s tales to date. After a night of Key West carousing, the boys find themselves entangled in a race of sorts – or perhaps more correctly, a series of challenges that carry them across the Caribbean and into Central and South America. (We’re talking about villainous villains, wild Texan promoters, hit men, biker gangs, beautiful crazy women, mad Columbian dons, moonlit Voodoo ceremonies, sailing races and hurricanes, and an island with creatures that would keep your nightmares awake). Do you remember the movie, “The Great Race?” Well, think of this as “The Great Race” with teeth, and hair on its back, while occasionally being “snot running out your nose” funny… (THIS IS A GREAT "STAND-ALONE BOOK" -- You don't have to have read the series to enjoy it!)
GODS, GUNS, AND MONEY ON THE ROAD TO KEY WEST -- "Another Outlandish Tale With “The Hole In The Coral Wall Gang!” White knuckle Airplane Crashes, Wild Lustful Amazonians, Bungled Bank Thefts, River Pirates, Remarkable Dogs and Hawks, an Ancient Crystal Skull, Diamond Thieves, Drug Lords, and an Amazing “Animal Man.” In what is certainly one of Michael Reisig’s most entertaining efforts yet, comes a wild adventure that carries the reader from South Florida, into the Caribbean, down to South America, and back again. Intertwined through the read are the questions we ask ourselves when we look up at the stars, as well as a theme of power and beauty in the connection we have with the creatures that share this planet with us. Everything in between is just heart-hammering, page-ripping action.
Once again, The Hole In The Coral Wall Gang is up to their eyeballs in wild misadventure and incredible circumstance! The hundred-year-old Coiba Penal Colony off the coast of Panama is an island swarming with convicts, inside and outside the prison walls, and yet, by the strangest of fates, this extraordinary tropical isle possesses an ancient, incredibly valuable secret that could change the world. Kansas and Will along with their team, find themselves challenging this strange island while trying to dodge wild desperadatos , prison soldiers, and a crazed island commandant. If that weren’t enough, there’s the South Florida mafia, who also want what the team has discovered. Then there are the two hired crazies from the bizarre “Last Resort” chasing Will and Kansas because they failed to die in a timely fashion, and didn’t pay their bill. Startling! Clever! And very funny in places. THIS IS ALSO A GREAT STAND ALONE READ
ON THE ROAD TO ROATAN… ADVENTURE, ROMANCE, REALLY BAD GUYS, BEAUTIFUL WOMEN, AND A TREASURE TO DIE FOR – LITERALLY… Roatan Island – off the coast of Honduras in Central America… On the south shore of Roatan Island you’ll find the sparse remains of the city where the English and numerous renowned pirates made their original settlements in the sixteen and seventeen hundreds. Port Royal… Its unique position offered excellent protection from storms, but more importantly it offered a perfect place geographically, for pirates to reside before attacking passing ships traveling to and from South America and the Caribbean islands. There is probably no place in the Caribbean that represents more history, and offers more pure opportunity for lost treasure than Roatan . It is probably the most historically significant location for plunder in the Southern Hemisphere… -- William Baltus Bell __________________________________ Once again, we find our intrepid adventurers, Kansas Stamps and Will Bell, in the midst of a wild Caribbean adventure on an exotic island, and in a whirlwind of extraordinary circumstance – a lost pirate treasure, a godfather villain with horrible pets, vengeful monastery monks, beautiful women who rarely take no for an answer, and an impending hurricane with absolutely no appreciation for timing. Then, when you add the regular wild bunch of Travis Christian, Cody Joe, and Crazy Eddie, you’ve got a serious package of adventure… Did I mention the crocodiles? Or the drunken bombmaker, or the Lorenzos? Oh well, you’ll just have to read it to find out….
This new book I have penned (The Road To Mexico), is a novella. A novella, by definition, is generally a read of between 15,000 and 40,000 words. (Not as long as a standard novel, or as limited as a short story). This is my first attempt at a novella, but I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. It combines a touch of the Old West with the modern world we know today, and the intrigue of Mexico. The result is high adventure with a healthy dose of humor. So, open your book or turn on your eReader, then settle back and start your journey on… The Road To Mexico. Good reading, my friends. Michael Reisig For his latest extraordinary adventure, Michael Reisig takes the reader back to the close of the American Civil War — at a time when the strength of the Confederacy was waning, the war was being lost, and everyone was looking for a way to survive or escape the impending destruction around them . During that challenging time, situational ethics and opportunity sometimes collided, and the results were interesting, for some… Imagine a handful of Confederate sailors, in a besieged New Orleans, who thought to escape a war that they realized now, the South was losing. Then imagine a couple of chests of gold and silver that were secretly stored in a warehouse belonging to a failing South – that would soon belong to invading Union troops. Now, imagine a sailboat, and a long, daring run across the Gulf, to Mexico, and a wonderful little “south of the border" town called Nuevo Savanna… But ultimately, when the three expatriates finally arrived at their destination, and were graciously accepted into the small community, they realized that they had far more wealth than they or their new town needed, or could comfortably use. So, they buried the two chests of the remaining gold and silver coins, and some jewelry, in a cave in the mountains that surrounded them. To be available, whenever needed… Then, as we move forward a couple of hundred years, imagine a handful of very old letters that are discovered — a correspondence that tells a tale of a wartime escape, and haven in Mexico, and a hidden Confederate wealth. And then there’s the old map -- that leaves pretty good directions… Then of course, as we move into the present day, there are the Indians, and the Mexican bandits, and the damned hot, unforgiving desert to contend with. And a search for a treasure… And probably, worst of all, is the greedy little bastard who owns the map. All this manages to catch the attention of our wandering adventurers, Kansas Stamps and Will Bell (and The Hole in The Coral Wall Gang), which ramps up the adventure considerably. And all this takes us on… THE ROAD TO MEXICO Reviews When the gods need entertainment, they turn to the writings of Michael Reisig, just as I do! And The Road To Mexico does not disappoint. I especially loved the cursing parrot, and enjoyed the crazy bandits and the Confederate treasure, all straight from the mind of Reisig. Pure entertainment, just as all stories should be! Don Rich, author of the bestselling Coastal Adventure Series and Mobjack Adventures In the central highlands of Mexico at the base of the Mexico’s primary mountain range, there is a small town populated mostly by extraordinary females. If that wasn’t enough, there’s the miserable local Mexican bandit and his horde of miserable misfits, who unfortunately, work the area regularly, as well as a tribe of unhappy Indians, a greedy idiot with a map, and of course… a marvelous treasure to make your eyeteeth ache… Adventure/romance author David Thatcher
