Atlantis will rise again… Following the discovery of an Ancient outpost buried deep in the Antarctic ice sheet, Stargate Command sends a new team of explorers through the Stargate to the distant Pegasus galaxy. Emerging in an abandoned Ancient city, the team quickly confirms that they have found the Lost City of Atlantis. But, submerged beneath the sea on an alien planet, the city is in danger of catastrophic flooding unless it is raised to the surface. Things go from bad to worse when the team must confront a new enemy known as the Wraith who are bent on destroying Atlantis. Stargate Atlantis is the exciting new spin-off of the hit TV show, Stargate SG-1. Based on the script of the pilot episode, Rising is a must-read for all fans and includes deleted scenes and dialog not seen on TV. RISING Weir stepped forward, and Daniel could see something burning bright in her eyes; he knew it was mirrored in his own. Excitement, the thrill of opening Pandora’s box. “What are you saying, Dr. Jackson?” He paused, just for an instant, just to relish the moment. “It’s an eight-symbol address,” he began. “What we’ve been looking for may be farther away than we ever imagined…” Weir was holding her breath, tense with expectation. Daniel smiled, “But not out of our reach.” Even McKay seemed reluctantly impressed. “Atlantis?” “Atlantis.” Daniel studied them both, making sure they comprehended the significance of what he was about to say. “And I think we can go there.” The silence that followed told him they understood. Humanity was poised to take its first steps into a new galaxy, and they – these people standing before him – were destined to be in the vanguard of the most important voyage of discovery mankind had ever undertaken. He envied them more than he could say.

Cover for The Chosen

Born to rule… With Ancient technology scattered across the Pegasus galaxy, the Atlantis team is not surprised to find it in use on a world once defended by Dalera, an Ancient who was cast out of her society for falling in love with a human. But in the millennia since Dalera’s departure much has changed. Her strict rules have been broken, leaving her people open to Wraith attack. Only a few of the Chosen remain to operate Ancient technology vital to their defense and tensions are running high. Revolution simmers close to the surface. When Major Sheppard and Rodney McKay are revealed as members of the Chosen, Daleran society convulses into chaos. Wanting to help resolve the crisis and yet refusing to prop up an autocratic regime, Sheppard is forced to act when Teyla and Lieutenant Ford are taken hostage by the rebels… THE CHOSEN From above them, a cry went up. “It burns. The river burns— and the Wraith with them!” This time, Teyla made no move to stop the Dalerans climbing the trees to witness for themselves. Indeed, she immediately pulled herself aloft and stared across the eastern fields. The sight was mesmerizing and more than satisfying. The entire eastern portion of South Channel was a blazing inferno. Lines of fiery serpents began to appear through the far fields, where the oil had flowed along irrigation channels. From this distance it was not possible to make out individuals, but she could see many smaller flames moving about, like the wicks of a hundred candles. Having stumbled into the oil, some of the Wraith had been set ablaze. The gruesome creatures had extraordinary regenerative properties, but it was doubtful if those caught in the fields of oil could survive such a sustained conflagration. The three vast columns of Wraith began to fall back. Cries of joy traveled across the treetops, and Teyla felt a measure of relief. The battle to come would not be easy, but the people of Dalera were now empowered by the sight before them. Ushat touched her arm. She took his Shield from him, and he signaled the warrior below to blow the trumpet. Reply calls from the Citadel told them that the EM fields close to North Bridge and the western end of the wall had also been disabled. Just before the roiling black smoke obscured her vision, she noticed the nearest column of Wraith headed in their direction. “They come!” cried a lookout. At the speed the Wraith were moving, the first waves would soon be upon them— far sooner than Teyla had planned.

Cover for Exogenesis

The eye of the beholder… When Dr. Carson Beckett disturbs the rest of two longdead Ancients, he unleashes devastating consequences of global proportions. With the very existence of Lantea at risk, Colonel John Sheppard leads his team on a desperate search for the long lost Ancient device that could save Atlantis. While Teyla Emmagan and Dr. Elizabeth Weir battle the ecological meltdown consuming their world, Colonel Sheppard, Dr. Rodney McKay and Dr. Zelenka travel to a world created by the Ancients themselves. There they discover a human experiment that could mean their salvation… But the truth is never as simple as it seems, and the team’s prejudices lead them to make a fatal error — an error that could slaughter thousands, including their own Dr. McKay. EXOGENESIS “The Ancestors do not want us here, Teyla,” Halling said by way of greeting. “We are being punished.” Teyla felt compelled to deny his words, and yet he had uttered Ea’s very sentiments. “As children we idealize our parents. It is only when we grow older that we come to understand that they are both fl awed and fallible.” Halling went to speak, but she motioned for him to let her finish. “That does not diminish our love and respect for them. Indeed, our greater understanding allows us to judge their shortcomings, and our own, less harshly.” “Then should we no longer aspire to be worthy of them?” Gently clasping his arm, Teyla looked up into his troubled eyes. “Not all of the Ancestors were as pure in spirit as we once believed. We should aspire to be worthy of those who were. But perhaps more importantly, we should aspire to be worthy of each other.” Taking a step towards the jumper, she added, “Come. The Daedalus will be arriving soon to evacuate everyone.” When Halling did not respond, she turned to see him staring bleakly up at the mountains. For his next question, she could provide no answer. “I wonder how Jinto is faring.”

Cover for Casualties of War

Burden of command… It’s a dark time for Atlantis. Following the first Asuran clashes, Colonel Sheppard is buckling under the strain of command. When his team discovers Ancient technology which can defeat the Asuran menace, he is determined that Atlantis must possess it — at all costs. But the involvement of Atlantis heightens local suspicions and brings two peoples to the point of war. Elizabeth Weir believes only her negotiating skills can hope to prevent the carnage, but when her diplomatic mission is attacked — and two of Sheppard’s team are lost — both Weir and Sheppard must question their decisions. And their abilities to command. As the first shots are fired, the Atlantis team must find a way to end the conflict — or live with the blood of innocents on their hands… CASUALTIES OF WAR “Don’t just stand there and tell me it can’t be done. Find a way!” Bristling, Rodney fired back. “What, so if I acknowledge reality, that somehow means I care about Ronon and Teyla less than you?” “Both of you, stop it,” ordered Carson with a vehemence he rarely showed. It made an impact; Rodney’s mouth snapped shut. With that hard set of his jaw, his own sadness and frustration became visible at last. The doctor finished bandaging John’s forearm before speaking again, more gently. “Listen to yourself, John. What are you really hoping to find?” “I don’t know! But what’s our alternative? Just let them go, forget about them?” “Forget about them, certainly not,” Carson replied, his voice solemn. “Let them go…aye, lad. I’m afraid so.” John scrubbed a hand over his jaw, fast running out of rational points to make. Hell, he was starting to run out of irrational ones. All he had — all he knew — was the fact that his teammates were out there, and it went against everything he held fundamental to leave them, whether for an hour or forever, where they lay. Where his mistake had led them. He’d sent Rodney’s group off unarmed, and this was the result. “God damn it,” he whispered.

Fear to tread… With their core directive restored, the Asurans have begun to attack the Wraith on multiple fronts. Under the command of Colonel Ellis, the Apollo is dispatched to observe the battlefront, but Ellis’s orders not to intervene are quickly breached when an Ancient ship drops out of hyperspace. Inside is Angelus, fleeing the destruction of a world he has spent millennia protecting from the Wraith. Charming and likable, Angelus quickly connects with each member of the Atlantis team in a unique way and, more than that, offers them a weapon that could put an end to their war with both the Wraith and the Asurans. But all is not what it seems, and even Angelus is unaware of his true nature — a nature that threatens the very survival of Atlantis itself… ANGELUS Out in the lightless gulfs of space, two great powers coiled around each other like monstrous serpents. And, like monsters, they fought and tore. A week before, Ellis had watched the blood of the two serpents spread across Colonel Carter’s starmap in a series of vivid splashes: a brilliant, icy blue for the Wraith, a gory scarlet for the Asurans. Each splash, Carter had told him, was the site of a known engagement. Between these battle markers lay the serpents themselves, twisting wildly through each other in three dimensions — an approximation of the two powers’ battle lines. The whole map, in fact, was an approximation, and therein lay the danger of it. “Most of this information is days old,” Carter had told him, pointing vaguely at a cluster of splashes. “At best we find out about one of these engagements a few hours after it’s over and done. Really, we’ve got no idea exactly where the fighting is going on.” Ellis had peered closely at the map, a gnawing feeling of worry under his sternum. Carter had scaled the display to take in dozens of star systems, and already half of them were enveloped by the serpents and their terrible wounds. “Is there anything you can be certain of?” “Just this.” Carter had touched a control, and a small green dot had blinked into life in the centre of the display. “Let me guess.” Ellis straightened up. “Atlantis.”

Deep freeze Trapped on a planet being consumed by a runaway ice age, Colonel Sheppard and his team discover a people — and a mystery — long disregarded by the Ancients. With the Stargate inoperable and their Puddle Jumper damaged, there is no way for Sheppard’s team to escape the killing cold. Death seems inevitable until they are rescued by the Forgotten, a people abandoned by those who once protected them — and now condemned to witness the slow death of their world. But something terrifying haunts their tunnel homes. When Teyla disappears and Ronon goes missing on the deadly ice plains, Sheppard and McKay risk losing their only chance of getting home in a desperate bid to find their friends and save the Forgotten from extinction... DEAD END “This isn’t good,” Sheppard growled. “Oh, this is really not good...” The HUD ran with strange figures. The Jumper lurched sideways, scraping along the edge of the wormhole limits. McKay was thrown roughly against Ronon as the Jumper listed crazily. “What is happening?” Teyla yelled. “Ask McKay!” Sheppard snapped, battling for control of the Jumper. “What? This isn’t my fault!” McKay protested, heart thumping with alarm. “This didn’t happen to the MALP!” Unbuckling himself with fumbling fingers, McKay stumbled over to a control panel in the rear of the Jumper — and was nearly hurled straight into it by a fresh yaw sideways. “Keep this thing on the road, will you?” “You wanna fly?” Sheppard looked like he was struggling to maintain control. “We’ve got massive power loss,” shouted McKay, desperately flicking a series of controls. “We’ll need to use the Jumper’s own supply to get us out.” Teyla gave him a sharp look. “Can you do it?” “If I can’t, we’re beyond screwed!”

When the hunted become hunters... Ronon Dex is a mystery. His past is a closed book and he likes it that way. But when the Atlantis team triggers a trap that leaves them stranded on a hostile world, only Ronon's past can save them - if it doesn't kill them first. As the gripping tale unfolds, we return to Ronon's earliest days as a Runner and meet the charismatic leader who transformed him into a hunter of Wraith. But grief and rage can change the best of men and it soon becomes clear that those who Ronon once considered brothers-in-arms are now on the hunt - and that the Atlantis team are their prey. Unless Ronon can out hunt the hunters, Colonel Sheppard's team will fall victim to the vengeance of the V'rdai. Hunt and Run "I know who's after us." "You do?" That didn't exactly make Rodney feel better. "By reputation, or personally?" Again the hesitation before Ronon answered. "Personally. And we have to watch our every step from here on out." "Who is it?" Rodney wanted to know. Well, no, deep down he didn't want to know at all. But he needed to know. The answer was one he hadn't expected. "Runners." "Other runners?" Rodney stared at him. "Like you?" He felt the air move as Ronon shook his head. "No. Not like me. Not any more." "Then like what? Who are they? How do you know them? What do they want?" Rodney was both horrified and fascinated. Before they'd met Ronon they'd never even heard of a Runner, but apparently the concept was legendary among all the worlds touched by the Wraith-a lone individual, caught by the Wraith but released and then hunted down. For sport. Most Runners didn't last very long, a week or two at most-they were said to be chosen for their cunning and their skills but the Wraith had been hunting and killing for centuries. Ronon had been a Runner for seven years. If these others were even half as good at hunting and fighting as he was, they had a serious problem on their hands.

Enemies and friends Reeling from the shocking discovery of Rodney McKay’s fate, Colonel Sheppard and his team retreat to Atlantis to regroup. With Rodney not only in the hands of the Wraith, but apparently working for them, Atlantis faces a new danger — their own man, turned against them. While Zelenka and Colonel Carter work frantically to crack the security protocols McKay embedded in Atlantis’s computer system, Ronan revisits his past and finds much is changing on Sateda. Meanwhile, Queen Death prepares to make use of her most valuable prisoner; with Rodney still unaware of his true identity, the fate of Atlantis hangs in the balance… Set after the TV series’ exciting finale, STARGATE ATLANTIS: Allegiance is book three of the gripping new Legacy series. ALLEGIANCE Book three of the Legacy series “Oh, not good,” Zelenka said, and followed it in Czech with what sounded like something heartfelt. “We have systems shutting down — internal sensors, power to the weapons chair —” “Get that thing shut down,” Lorne said. “Yes, I am trying —” “What the hell is going on?” Sheppard said, tearing up the stairs into the control room, wearing sweatpants tucked into the tops of his boots and a flannel shirt he hadn’t bothered to tuck in at all. “This is Rodney’s work,” Zelenka said. “His programs are shutting down our security systems, and I cannot stop it. I am afraid we are going to lose the iris.” “Security teams to the gateroom,” Sheppard said into his radio. “Sound a citywide alarm.” Salawi’s hands moved uncertainly over her keyboard, but it was only seconds before the alarm sounded. “Put me on citywide,” Sheppard said, and waited for Salawi’s quick nod before he went on. “This is Colonel Sheppard. Assume that as of now we are facing an attack by unknown hostiles who are trying to get through the Stargate. I want security teams on full alert —” Zelenka breathed a curse in Czech, all the more alarming because his tone was hushed rather than heated. “The iris is shutting down…”

These all new adventures take the Atlantis team back to the Pegasus galaxy where a terrible new enemy has emerged, an enemy that threatens their lives, their friendships — and the future of Earth itself. HOMECOMING The city shook, but it was not as bad as before. Zelenka could keep his feet easily enough, hanging on to the edge of the console. The cameras fogged, vapor streaming past. A high cloud layer? Possibly. Probably. All systems were still green. The ZPMs’ power level was ticking downward, but not quickly. Fifteen per cent…fourteen per cent. Thrusters fired again, tilting the city slightly, increasing the drag. The shield pulled more power to compensate. And the city slowed. Ice. The cameras showed ice below, thousands of feet down to the north polar ice cap. They were wrapping around the world in a high polar sweep, bleeding speed as they went. Ice. Nothing but ice. Surely they would start seeing water now. He didn’t know how high they were. It all looked the same, sixty thousand feet or thirty thousand. “You need to course correct,” Rodney said. Mountains. Glaciated mountains. The planet’s largest landmass was embedded beneath the polar ice cap. Dark peaks streaked with snow. Surely they were too low. Surely…

Concussed, far from the Stargate, and with his only remaining team mate, Teyla, injured, Sheppard is soon taken prisoner by the local population. As he gradually pieces things together, he realises his team is scattered across a tropical archipelago, unable to communicate with each other or return to the Stargate. Meanwhile, Ronon and Doctor Zelenka find themselves in an unlikely partnership as they seek a way off their island and back to the Stargate. And Doctor McKay? He just wants to get the Stargate working… DEATH GAME “Something’s not right about this.” “I share your sense of unease,” Teyla said. John had spoken the words that were behind the creeping sense of wrongness she felt. “I have seen other worlds with as much, but they were in fear of the Wraith. They had precautions, plans. These people do not even seem to know what we mean. Why have the Wraith not come?” John shook his head. Teyla picked up a piece of fruit and continued. “There are, for better or worse, three responses to the Wraith. To hide, as the Genii do, and hope that the Wraith will not discover the extent of one’s civilization. To defy them and fight, as the Satedans did. Or to disperse and give them no targets, as my people did. All of the peoples of this galaxy that I have met do one or another of these. These people…” Her voice trailed off as the barge came upon another large stone wharf, passing a barge that lay tied up beside it, cattle being loaded aboard. “These people are a puzzle.” “Something’s rotten,” John said. “I don’t like it.” He took the radio from his pocket. The light flashed standby. “You will try to call them again?” He shook his head. “The battery is low. And we’ll hear them when they call us in range.” “Surely by now they are looking…”

Finders keepers… Reeling from the terrible events of STARGATE ATLANTIS Homecoming, the expedition team members are doing whatever it takes to find Doctor Rodney McKay — even if it means turning to their enemies for help. While Colonel Sheppard and Teyla seek information from Ladon Radim of the Genii — and pay a high price to secure his reluctant cooperation — Ronon and Doctor Keller reopen tense negotiations with their sometime-ally, Todd. But as the balance of power begins to shift among the Wraith, Ronon and Keller struggle to ensure that they remain Todd’s allies and don’t become his hostages. Meanwhile, far away, McKay is facing a fate more terrifying than anyone on Atlantis could possibly imagine… Stargate Atlantis The Lost is book two of the exciting new Stargate Atlantis Legacy series. THE LOST Book two of the Legacy series Ronon dropped into the chair beside Radek, his water in his hand. “Dead world. Nobody lives there, but somebody dialed New Athos three times.” He took a gulp of his water. “Where’d they come from? If nobody lives there and they dialed New Athos three times, but nowhere else, those are our guys.” “I don’t see…” Woolsey began. “They came from a hive ship,” Teyla put in. “It is the logical conclusion. The ship remained in orbit around an uninhabited world while the Darts attacked New Athos. Once they had what they sought they returned through the gate and rejoined the hive ship. They did not dial anywhere else, and they are not still there.” “Three times?” Teyla nodded. “Once to scout, once to send the message that lured us to New Athos, and once to seize… their prize.” She could not quite bring herself to say, ‘to seize Rodney.’ That was too raw. John sat up straight, his eyes meeting Woolsey’s down the table. “If we get a jumper and go back…” Woolsey frowned. “What will that give you?” Radek glanced from one to the other, addressing himself to John rather than Woolsey. “The hive ship has certainly opened a hyperspace window. We did not detect them in orbit and they have had three days to go anywhere they wish. I do not think there is more information we can gain on M40-P36.” John’s hands opened and closed in frustration. “We have to,” he began tiredly. “We have to find another means of intelligence,” Woolsey said. “Rodney…” “We will find Dr. McKay,” Woolsey said. “But if there’s no more information to be had this way, we need to find another way.”

Cover for Secrets(With: Jo Graham)

Old secrets, new truths… It is the aftermath of battle. Scattered and struggling to regroup, Colonel Sheppard’s team face their darkest days yet in the war against the Wraith Queen, Death. Continuing her perilous masquerade as Queen Steelflower, Teyla Emmagan’s friendship with Guide grows stronger. With his help she must journey into the Wraith’s distant past to uncover the shocking truth about their origin – and the key to Queen Death’s defeat. Meanwhile, Rodney McKay has a different battle to fight as he struggles to regain his humanity in the face of the atrocity the Wraith have committed against him. With his life hanging in the balance, will Rodney be forced to do the unthinkable in order to survive…? SECRETS “IS COLONEL Sheppard with you?” “No.” Sam wondered if she looked as perplexed as she sounded. “He’s not back?” “No.” Woolsey’s face was drawn. “We haven’t heard a word from any of the team. Nothing.” His voice sharpened. “I thought they were to return with you.” Sam shook her head. “That was the original plan, but we had trouble getting in close enough to beam them out. I had a radio message from Sheppard that indicated they had been beamed aboard Todd’s hive ship. I thought they’d be back by now.” “No,” Woolsey said. “We don’t know anything.” Sam blew out a breath. If Todd were holding them prisoner they’d be getting demands any time now. But that was less likely, given that Teyla was still masquerading as his queen. “It’s possible that the hive ship also took some battle damage,” she said. “That may be more of a priority than getting to a gate and reporting in.” A twitch of Woolsey’s eyebrows showed what he thought of Sheppard’s enthusiasm for immediately reaching a gate and reporting in. “Did they recover Dr. McKay?” “I don’t know,” Sam said. “There was a lot of interference on the radio. Sheppard said they were aboard Todd’s ship, but I don’t know if they had McKay with them or not.” She shook her head. “If not, he’s dead. Queen Death’s hive ship exploded. There would have been no survivors…”

Cover for The Furies

The Enemy Within When disaster strikes, the Atlantis team resort to desperate measures in their bid to save Doctor Rodney McKay from the clutches of Queen Death. With the lives of McKay and Colonel Sheppard at stake, Teyla Emagan must once again assume the role of Queen Steelflower as she attempts a dangerous subterfuge – a subterfuge made more complex by a tentative alliance with Guide, the Wraith once known as Todd. But in order to deceive Queen Death, Teyla must embrace her Wraith heritage more closely than she has ever done before. So closely that she may lose herself forever… As the web of intrigue, deceit and betrayal grows ever more tangled, this thrilling installment of the Legacy series takes the team into the very heart of darkness. STARGATE ATLANTIS: The Furies "That is the core of it," Teyla said quietly. "You need us. And we need you. The peoples of the Milky Way will keep you from Earth. That is assured. But I am not of Earth, and there is a limit to what they will do here, a limit we have very nearly reached. The people of Earth will not send enough ships to defeat Queen Death, and we will die." "Teyla," Sheppard began. "Truth for truth, John," she said, her eyes on Guide's. "They have neither the power nor the will to conquer this galaxy. They will leave us to you, and you have already seen where that will end." Guide took a long breath, perhaps the longest of his life, very long and very strange indeed, his eyes upon this one with the seeming of a young queen but who was not. She was kine. Or half kine, the product of a twisted experiment which had given an animal the semblance of a person, the mental voice of a woman. His answers should be clear, and yet they were not. His true queen would speak thus, once and away. His eyes slipped past her to Sheppard. "And when we are done, Sheppard? When we have defeated Queen Death together?" Sheppard put his head to the side as he had done once, escaping Kolya's prison together. "All bets are off."

End game The battle lines are drawn. Queen Death is mustering her fleet. But who will stand against her? As conflicts and betrayal threaten to shatter Atlantis’s fragile alliances with Guide’s Wraith and the Genii, humanity’s only hope of survival rests on the fate of an Ancient device — a weapon too terrible to use but too powerful to cast aside. A weapon capable of exterminating every Wraith in the galaxy, and with them every human carrying Wraith DNA… With Queen Death’s fleet fast approaching, Colonel Sheppard and his team must make their final choice. In the sixth and concluding installment of the STARGATE ATLANTIS Legacy series, the future of Atlantis will be decided — and more than one of her crew will be called upon to sacrifice everything in the fight for her survival… Stargate Atlantis: The Inheritors "So let's get this done," John said. "Well, I'll need the device before I can destroy it," Sam said. "If you'll go get it from wherever you hid it ..." "You may as well come with me," John said, after a moment's hesitation that he decided wasn't entirely rational. "I'd rather not handle the weird Ancient device we don't understand any more than I have to. You don't have the ATA gene, so you're less likely to destroy all the Wraith in the galaxy by accident." Sam followed him up a transport chamber and several sets of stairs to the catwalks where he usually went running with Ronon. Above them, a tangled grid of struts and roof supports extended up into the shadows. "It's up there," John said. He scrambled up onto the rail of the catwalk, and then hauled himself up the jungle gym of struts and poles until he could reach the ledge where he'd stashed the weapon in between a spare Wraith stunner and a box of C4. The stunner and the C4 were both still there, still securely duct taped to the ledge. In between them, the web of duct tape had been slit neatly with a knife. "Damn it!" "What?" Sam called from the catwalk below. "The weapon's gone," John said. "Somebody got here first."

Convinced that an Ascended Elizabeth Weir saved his life, Dr. Rodney McKay argues that she must have escaped her replicator body in order to ascend. No one believes him, but when rumors reach Atlantis of a woman with no memory who calls herself 'Elizabeth', Rodney is determined to track her down. Meanwhile, Daniel's research uncovers evidence of Vanir activity in the Pegasus galaxy - evidence that casts both light and shadow over the mystery of Elizabeth... Unascended Ahead of them, he could see the green line of brush that sloped down to the river. So could every small animal trying to escape the fire. Anything that wasn't caught in the nets would make for the protection of the water- "They're going to be waiting at the river," Ronon said, catching up to Daniel. He sounded as though this were no more than an easy jog. "I know," John called from behind him. "But they don't look like great swimmers, so when we get there, everybody into the water." "We're going to have to go through these guys," Ronon said. "We've just met an entirely new intelligent species, and we're about to make first contact by shooting them," Daniel said. "You got a better idea?" "Try warning shots," John said. "And, yes, Rodney, I remember why that's a bad idea, but we're heading straight for the river." "I'm just saying the two things I didn't want in my day were dinosaurs and fire!" Rodney said, unslinging his own P-90 and cradling it as he ran. "They're not dinosaurs, McKay." "Birds are essentially dinosaurs, any paleontologist-" Ronon grabbed the back of Rodney's jacket, thrusting him forward faster. "Shut up and run!"
