When two worlds collide… Jack Walker and Michael Talbot come from two worlds; the same, yet different. They both find themselves transported into an alien one, where things aren’t as they seem. While it appears similar to the ones they come from, there are some terrifying differences. Is it a dream? Or has reality been somehow warped? Jack comes from a world filled with nocturnal creatures that were once human, but now seek to destroy the last vestiges of humanity. Mike, living under a constant threat from hordes of the undead, arrives with a companion, John the Tripper. Ripped away from their family members and thrown into the unknown, they find that the nightmares from their worlds have preceded them. Survival becomes moment to moment as they encounter old dangers, and new. Each wants nothing more than to be reunited with their loved ones. With dangers lurking around every corner, they seek to unravel the mystery that brought them. It may be a long road ahead, but they begin by taking the first step, hoping the next one will be the one that takes them home.
Jack, Mike and Trip were ripped from their loved ones and thrown into a dangerous world they know nothing about, relentlessly pursued by Night Runners, Zombies and a terrifying new creature known only as Whistlers. Like their own worlds, civilization has collapsed and danger lurks around every corner. The trio can do nothing but march forward, attempting to find some answers; some way to escape from the nightmare. Seeking only to return to their families, they must navigate through the unknown. Everything seems to be converging Atlantis. Will Jack, Mike and Trip find what they are looking for in the City? Or will they meet an end that none of them were prepared for?
Having survived Atlantis, the town of Indian Hill beckons. As Mike and Trip make their way toward Indian Hill and are in search of some much needed answers, Jack is fast on their heels. It is a dangerous journey fraught with all manner of creatures. Zombies, Night Runners and the Alien Whistlers do their best to prevent the trio from ever going home again. The Whistlers are constantly roaming the wilds in search of food, the zombies gathered in large groups, and the night runners own the night. Will they survive the nightmarish beasts only to be shredded by time itself? Trip may have some knowledge that could help but extracting it from him is proving exceedingly difficult. Mike’s memories are being tattered and Jack’s soul is tortured as he makes one final desperate bid to get back to his family. Time is truly running out, will the group manage to get back to their original worlds before this one folds into nothingness?
In this explosive fourth installment of the popular A Shrouded World Series, Jack is seemingly back from the dead. Mike and Trip are in a desperate bid to help their friend before he falls victim to whatever is plaguing the inhabitants of Valhalla.
