Mariah Redding believes she's starting her life fresh by accepting a proposal to be a mail-order bride in Creede, Colorado. Things back home in Kentucky didn't end on a happy note, and she's looking forward to the chance to find the happiness she's been denied. It turns out, however, that fate has decided to play a different card. Hans Jensen doesn't need to marry or have a family - he's perfectly content as he is. But when his sister and her husband are killed in an accident, he's the only living relative who can take in two little boys who are in desperate need of love and acceptance.
