But it was obvious to me that Beth couldn’t have just any vampire hero—he had to be something special. In fact, an earlier attempt to write Beth’s story fizzled altogether because it wasn’t right. This one is, mostly because I gave Beth not one hero, but two. I’ve always wondered if it would be possible to get two alpha males to share the same woman, and I finally figured out a way.
