He shares the storytelling with fictional character, Dean Hayes. His chapters are opposite of Frank’s, they are tempered and focused. A serious story told humorously by the man with the gift of gab. While this is an odd stand alone novel, it is part of the Beginnings Series because it contains characters from the Beginnings Universe.
Bringing in Lodi is Book 20 of the Beginnings Series. There is always a calm before the storm. But can a calm also indicate change? Beginnings is on the horizon of not only a storm but a major shift and no one will see it coming. Following the failure of a precious experiment, Dean is still not himself. His sudden and strong focus on making things 'right' morphs his current personality, leaving the Beginning's residents to question his state of mind and microchip. Alas, all is not serious in Beginnings. Danny Hoi steps up his broadcasting platform for the residents adding more entertainment. And spicing things up is a string of crimes. There is a criminal loose in Beginnings but the committed crimes are rather comical. They bring about the best of Frank and his antics. Finally, he has come home. Things will never be the same when the fourth and final brother, Jimmy, joins the other Slagels. Beginnings may adjust but the brothers have a hard time. Bringing in Lodi is the installment that introduces new challenges and changes, and as always, not without touching your heart and making you laugh.
Faulted Lines is book twenty-one in the Beginnings Series. All bets are off. Just when you think you know who the enemy is, you need to think again. Things change in Beginnings in a weird and unpredictable way. Dean’s recent behavior explosions are explained while new friends and foe are introduced. The ‘enemy of my enemy is my friend’ holds true, as Beginnings once again proves you never know what will happen next. Frank’s antics kick into high gear, as the saga takes a bigger turn. One story ends and another begins in another humorous installment laced with a serious spin.
And Then … Farewell is book Twenty-Two in the Beginnings Series. New enemies grow on the horizon and the focus on the society becomes the past. One that is more humorous than deadly.
Black Parade is book Twenty-Four in the Beginnings Series. Life is in limbo and the latest installment shows exactly where things can and will go wrong. The story is different from every other Beginnings’ book. It is told by Danny Hoi and is the alternate universe and explains what happens had Joe never died and time travel been banned. It goes beyond the walls of Beginnings and into the future. However, fictional as it is within a fictional saga, Black Parade is vital. Is Danny’s story really a ‘what if’ situation? Or does it lay out a perfect map of Beginnings’ future?
Joe is book Twenty-Five in the Beginnings Series. Robbie has made an important discovery.
