Each and every week, no matter what else is going on in their lives, six friends, connected throughout their lives by laughter, tears, hopes, and dreams...meet at one of their homes as they have for years. This week when they meet at Ellie’s house, the discussion sways as it often does from the book in front of them to what’s going on in their lives and all around them in the small township where they all grew up. Before they know it they are climbing the stairs to her attic in search of what Ellie is certain they will find. But it’s not all that’s found. The Great Typewriter Playoffs is the first in the Home in Madeira Springs series about six women who’ve lived in the township of Madeira Springs their entire lives. Most have known each other since high school…some even longer. Each of them know as much about each other as they do about themselves. They know their way around each others kitchens every bit as well as they do their own. And they are always at home in each others company. For some of them their children are grown and too often their homes seem empty and filled with a quiet they’ve yet to get used to. But once a week in Madeira Springs, they gather to talk of the books they’ve read, their joy and worries about their families, the many hot topic issues that go on in their small township…and all the many other things that fill their lives…at Home In Madeira Springs.
