On a mission to bomb a French bridge and slow down Hitler's army, U.S. bomber pilot Lt. Wendell B. Terry miraculously survived a harrowing parachute jump after his plane took a direct hit from enemy ground fire. Captured, Terry found himself in a German POW camp for Christmas. He shared an 18-by-24 foot cement room with 23 prisoners of war.
