Description

When the managing director of Wainwright Enterprises dies in a suspicious accident his will throws his family and business into turmoil; he's left the bulk of his estate to his nephew Alex and wife Sally. When Sally turns her sharp mind to the finances of the family firm she exposes startling irregularities. Then Arthur Fish, the firm's accountant, is brutally murdered and DCI Fenwick is called in to investigate. At first it appears that Fish was the victim of a random mugger, but Fenwick and his team are not convinced. Their investigations reveal corruption at the highest level in the local community. As he closes in on the murderer Fenwick finds his integrity stretched to breaking point as he races against the clock to prevent more killings.
