Every so often, someone gets the idea to create a round-robin story. A dozen or so writers are invited, each one writes a chapter in turn. After all, if one writer is good, twelve writers should be twelve times better, right? Sometimes it works. Here are four pieces, written by David Gerrold, for four different round robin novels.You don't have to read the round robin stories to enjoy these chapters, they stand on their own. (Besides, one of them never got published, another is out of print, a third is impossible to find.) David Gerrold is the Hugo and Nebula award winning author of The Martian Child. He's published over fifty books, including Worlds Of Wonder, The Voyage Of The Star Wolf, and the time-travel classic, The Man Who Folded Himself. He created the tribbles for Star Trek and the sleestak for Land Of The Lost.
