There’s Calypso music, there’s the white sand beaches, and then rum punch. Sweet, addicting, goes to head before you know it and then you want more. That’s just how my girl Sinclair is, I swear I’d pay the devil my soul just to keep making her smile. We love hard, like sweaty carnal things created by the gods just for this purpose, while the breeze comes in off the water onto our skins. Then she looks at me with those big brown eyes and the world falls away. Nothing held me back from moving to Barbados, an island that’s smaller than my hometown.
